Asian Film Festival is one of the newest international film festivals in Japan. In addition to films (fiction, documentary, animation) made in Asia, films related to Asian people or Asian countries are also eligible for entry, even if the films are made outside Asia by non-Asian filmmakers.

This Film Festival is held yearly, for the purposes of developing Osaka’s moving image culture, presenting the city as a cultural center and facilitating exchange and human resources development.  This event offers an opportunity to watch excellent Asian films, and our activities support filmmaking in Osaka.
